PG13 hits game winner in greatest regular season comeback for OKC ever and Russ makes history again6/12/2018 Date happened: Thursday 6 December, 2018 (Wednesday 5 December, 2018 in USA + Canada) *It seems that nearly every night the words 'making history' and Russell Westbrook are put into the same sentence. And tonight was no exception. Not only did Russell Westbrook create history again by surpassing Jason Kidd to be the third All-time leader on the triple-double ladder, but his co-star Paul George hit the winning three pointer with 3.1 seconds remaining for the Oklahoma City Thunder in their win over the Brooklyn Nets 114-112. *Paul George showed that he is clutch and with ice in his veins, he scored 47 points in the road win and added 15 assists. It was his 9th career 40 point game and his fourth since joining OKC. *The Thunder were down by 18 before the fourth quarter so George took control and 25 of his 47 points were scored in the last 12 minutes of the match. *George's 47 points was the most points scored by a player in Barclays Center history. *25 points was the most points scored in a quarter by an OKC player since the team moved to OKC for the 2008/2009 season. *The Oklahoma City Thunder came back from a 23-point deficit, their greatest regular season comeback in the history of the franchise, *Russell Westbrook who recorded his 108th triple-double made it with a blistering 21 points, 17 assists and 15 rebounds. *The victory saw the Thunder move to second on the Western Conference Standings behind the Denver Nuggets. It was their 16th win of the 2018/19 season which took them to 16-3 since starting the season 0-4. *After some great games from the Thunder, this particular game may be the match that truly confirms that the superstar that is Russell Westbrook and the superstar that is Paul George make one of the most iconic duos and that they can coexist which is nothing but amazing to watch,
